Halloween abs workout!

It’s been a while since I shared a workout, so I felt like I owed you guys. :) Today’s workout actually comes from my Zumba class! My college class requested we do more abs, and while I try to incorporate core work into our dances, it doesn’t give you the same burn you feel after a targeted ab workout. The solution? Stay five minutes after class so we can all get our ab on. Since abs are something I never seem to work as much as I want to, this is definitely a win win for me. Not that it’s all about me…

Halloween AbsNo, there is nothing super Halloween-y about this routine. But Halloween is a little over a week away, and I was having fun learning how to use pic monkey. <— I am blog challenged. Maybe it’s Halloween-y if you think, like, people dress up as superman and spiderman… and x sit-ups could be x(-men) sit-ups. It totally works. Just go with it.

In case you aren’t familiar with the moves, here are some links to help you out.

X sit-up
Spiderman plank
Leg lowers
Superman plank
Russian twists
Side plank hip lifts

We did one round after class, but depending on your level you can repeat as needed. If I was doing this alone (rather than after a one hour workout), I would do 2-3 rounds. Of course if you do 2-3 rounds, it’s no longer really a quickie workout. Clearly naming workouts is not my strong point…

I’m headed back to the books. Have a fabulous Tuesday!

Questions: Have you used pic monkey before? Want to come teach me how to make cooler graphics? Do you neglect ab work? What are you going to be for Halloween?
